How To Infuse

  1. Fill your jar with your favorite spirit.  If filling The Southern Spirit Infuse jars, use 16 ounces of alcohol; if you are using Camp Craft, fill your jar with 12 ounces.  Liquor recommendations are listed with each recipe below.
  1. Screw cap back on tightly and place in the refrigerator.
  1. Wait three days.
  1. On the third day, strain the liquid out of the infuse jar into another jar, especially spicy ones!
  1. Optional: Fill the infuse jar again with the same liquor if you want to infuse twice, making even more cocktails!

Do not infuse longer than three days with any spicy flavors such as the Mango Habanero.  The longer you infuse, the spicier it gets!

 

Mocktail

Want to make a zero-proof (no alcohol) mocktail?  Fill the jar with hot boiling water instead of liquor and follow the same instructions.

Once Infused

Once infused, your jar will last up to 30 days in the refrigerator.

 

Apple Pie Recipes


 THE SOUTHERN APPLE MARTINI

2 ounces            Infused Apple Pie (infuse with vodka, whiskey or bourbon)

Fill shaker tin and shake vigorously.  Strain into a martini glass.  Sip as-is.

 

APPLE FIZZ

2 ounces             Infused Apple Pie (infuse with vodka)

4 ounces             Topo Chico

Splash                 Champagne or sparkling cider

 

Fill shaker tin with ice.  Pour 2 ounces of infused Apple Pie in shaker tin and shake vigorously.  Strain into a low-ball glass.  Top with 4 ounces of Topo Chico.  Add a splash of champagne or sparkling cider.

 

WICKED WASSAIL

2 ounces            Infused Apple Pie (infuse with bourbon or vodka)

2 ounces            Apple Cider

 

Fill shaker tin with all ingredients.  Shake vigorously and pour over ice.  Alternatively, serve hot for a warm, winter beverage.

 

Mango Habanero Recipes 

 

THE MANGO SIP

2 ounces              Infused Mango Habanero (infuse with silver or reposado tequila                               or vodka)

 

Fill shaker tin with ice. Pour 2 ounces of infused Mango Habanero into a shaker tin and shake vigorously. Strain into a low-ball glass. Garnish with an orange peel or orange zest.

 

 THE MANGO HABANERO MARGARITA FROM SCRATCH

1 ½ to 2 ounces              Infused Mango Habanero (infuse with silver or                                                          reposado Tequila)

1 ounce                           Orange Liqueur

¾ ounces                        Fresh-squeezed lime

Optional:  If you like it sweeter, drizzle agave nectar to taste

 

Fill shaker tin with ice.  Combine all ingredients into a shaker tin and shake vigorously.  Strain over ice-filled low-ball or margarita glass.  Optional: rim your glass with salt before straining margarita in the glass.  

 

THE SIMPLE MANGO HABANERO MARGARITA 

1 ½ to 2 ounces              Infused Mango Habanero (infuse with silver or reposado Tequila

3 ounces                         Tres Agave Margarita Mix (find at HEB)

 

Fill shaker tin with ice.  Combine all ingredients into a shaker tin and shake vigorously.  Strain over ice-filled low-ball or margarita glass.  Optional: rim your glass with salt before straining margarita in the glass.

 

Citrus Berry Recipes 

SANGRIA

2 ounces               Infused Citrus Berry (infuse with brandy)

4 ounces               Spanish Red Wine (Rioja or Tempranillo)

Splash                   Splash of orange juice to taste OR

Splash                   Splash of lemon-lime soda to taste

 

SUMMER BERRY FIZZ

2 ounces                Infused Citrus Berry (infuse with vodka)

4 ounces                Topo Chico or Club Soda

Twist of Lime

Optional:  Top with a splash of Prosecco

 

Fill shaker tin with ice.  Pour 2 ounces of infused Citrus Berry in shaker tin and shake vigorously.  Strain into a low-ball glass.  Top with 4 ounces of Topo Chico.  Garnish with a twist of lime or finish with a strawberry or blackberry in glass.

 

WILD BERRY LEMONADE

2 ounces               Infused Citrus Berry (infuse with vodka)

4 ounces               Lemonade

Splash Topo Chico or Club Soda

 

Fill shaker tin with ice.  Pour 2 ounces of infused Citrus Berry in shaker tin.  Pour 4 ounces of lemonade in shaker tin and shake vigorously.  Strain into a low-ball glass.  Top with a splash of Topo Chico.  Garnish with a lemon.

 

CITRUS BERRY SUNRISE

2 ounces              Infused Citrus Berry (infuse with vodka)

2 ounces              Orange Juice

1 ounce                Prosecco

 

Fill shaker tin with ice.  Pour 2 ounces of infused Citrus Berry in shaker tin.  Pour 2 ounces of orange juice in shaker tin and shake vigorously.  Strain into a flute or wine glass.  Top with 1 ounce of Prosecco.  Garnish with an orange slice and finish with a strawberry or blackberry in glass.

 

Cranberry Cheer

POINSETTIA 

2 ounces             Infused Cranberry Cheer (infuse with vodka)

1 ounce               Cranberry Juice

1 ounce               Orange Juice

Splash                 Prosecco

 

Fill shaker tin with ice.  Pour 2 ounces of infused Cranberry Cheer in shaker tin.  Pour 1 ounce of cranberry juice  and 1 ounce of orange juice in shaker tin and shake vigorously.  Strain into a glass.  Top with a splash of Prosecco.

 

Apricot Cranberry Smash Recipe

APRICOT CRANBERRY PALOMA 

1.5 ounces     Infused Apricot Cranberry Smash (infuse with silver tequila)

¼ cup             Grapefruit Juice

1 lime              Squeezed

 

Fill shaker tin with ice.  Pour 1.5 ounces of infused Apricot Cranberry Smash in shaker tin.  Pour ¼ cup of grapefruit juice in shaker tin and shake vigorously. Strain into an ice filled glass.  Squeeze the juice of one lime and top with club soda, if desired.  Optionally, substitute tangerine juice for the grapefruit.

 

Bloody Mary Recipes

***We recommend using low salt V8 Original Juice and not other Bloody Mary mixes in most recipes. Because all of the spices are in the infuse jar, it can be overpowering mixing it with your favorite go to Bloody Mary mix. ***

CLASSIC BLOODY MARY

1.5 ounces      Infused Bloody Mary (infuse with vodka)

4-6 ounces      Low Salt Tomato Juice

1 dash             Cholula

1 lime wedge  Squeezed

 

Fill shaker tin with ice.  Pour 1.5 ounces of infused Bloody Mary in shaker tin.  Pour 4-6 ounces of low salt tomato juice in shaker tin and shake vigorously.  Strain into an ice filled glass.  Squeeze the juice of one lime wedge.  Add a dash or two of Cholula to desired spice.

 

CAESAR

 1.5 ounces     Infused Bloody Mary (infuse with vodka)

4-6 ounces     Clamato

 

Fill shaker tin with ice.  Pour 1.5 ounces of infused Bloody Mary in shaker tin.  Pour 4-6 ounces of clamato in shaker tin and shake vigorously.  Strain into an ice filled glass. 

 

MICHELADA

1.5 ounces     Infused Bloody Mary (infuse with vodka)

3 ounces        Zing Zang

6 ounces        Mexican beer

 

Fill shaker tin with ice.  Pour 1.5 ounces of infused Bloody Mary in shaker tin.  Pour 3 ounces of Zing Zang in shaker tin and shake vigorously.  Rim a glass with Tajin.  Strain shaker contents into rimmed glass.  Top with 6 ounces of Mexican beer.

 

BLOODY MARIA

1.5 ounces     Infused Bloody Mary (infuse with tequila)

4-6 ounces     Low Salt Tomato Juice

1 dash            Cholula

1 lime wedge Squeezed

Fill shaker tin with ice.  Pour 1.5 ounces of infused Bloody Mary in shaker tin.  Pour 4-6 ounces of low salt tomato juice in shaker tin and shake vigorously.  Strain into an ice filled glass.  Squeeze the juice of one lime wedge.  Add a dash or two of Cholula to desired spice.
